We were all appalled by the wholly unacceptable behaviour of a small minority of sixth-formers who indulged themselves in an orgy of vandalism under the pretext of protesting about not being able to go to University because they canít afford it.
These mindless hooligans broke several of the windows in the Headmasterís study and gave my secretary, Charlotte Carruthers-Starborgling, quite a scare. This was totally inexcusable and the police have been alerted to make sure that the ringleaders are tracked down to face the full rigour of the law (a severe caution and the offer of counselling from Mr Clarke). Donít get me wrong. Everyone has the right to express their views, so long as they do so in a quiet unobtrusive manner which nobody notices.
With thanks to the Private Eye ≠ Mightiest Organ of them all.
